Thelma the Unicorn by Aaron Blabey is a picture book about self-acceptance. 

It follows Thelma, a small pony who dreams of being a glamorous unicorn. One day, after being covered in pink glitter and wearing a carrot horn, she unexpectedly gets her wish and becomes famous. At first, she enjoys the attention, but soon realises that fame comes with challenges, including losing her privacy and feeling disconnected from her true self. In the end, Thelma chooses to return to her ordinary pony life, embracing who she really is.
